Evolution of Maleficent- We all love her, but have you seen the Maleficent designs that almost were? If it wasn’t for the iconic headdress, and striking green/purple motif, would Mrs Jolie even have a movie coming out this summer? How would she feed her 17 children?
All the previous designs were strong, but the most iconic rose to the top, marking the the character as overtly visually evil as possible. While layered characters are important, it does not mean that one should not let the villain be very, very bad.
